Jason Calacanis announces Mahalo Follow
By Krish on Aug 10, 2007 in Startups
When Jason Calacanis took hold of Netscape, he tried to rope in top users of Digg by offering them paycheck for jumping over to Netscape. This time, with Mahalo, he is not doing anything blatant. He is trying to woo users by offering them a Mahalo browser sidebar, where the users can compare their search results on Google or Ask.com with the results for the same query from Mahalo. It is a clever trick to convince users that Mahalo, powered by humans, can do a better job than automated search results at Google or Ask. Check out Mahalo Follow and see if you really want to jump to Mahalo.
