Getting Kyte.tv

Today I had the pleasure of chatting with Robert Scoble (and many others) on his Kyte channel. Previously I had wondered where Kyte would fit into the grand scheme of things, but after the last couple of days, I agree with Scoble; Kyte is very disruptive. The fact that you can embed your channel anywhere and have it update automatically, while providing the ability to chat, the latter as text, audio or video is quite wonderful. The chat capabilites allow you to build some community as well. That others can contribute to the channel makes it possible to develop broader based communities, all features that seem to suggest that Kyte has a bright future.
I have two channels there, one a personal one, and another a video capture of my podcast. It’s quick, it’s immediate, and it’s very viral. Anyone with a mobile phone or a webcam can try it out. Of course, if you are shy, then it’s not quite the app for you, but explore it. It might appear intimidating at first, but once you understand the concept, it is quite powerful. Perhaps this is what micromedia is all about.
It’s really interesting to see how fast the term ‘mircomedia’ evolves!
Regarding your post: what I like with kyte is the fact that i can do video or audio chat even from my mobile phone.
