Web office, identity and interoperability

We have web office related news from Yahoo, Google, and … IBM (yes, you read that right). If you throw Zoho into the mix, the space is getting crowded fast.
In fact, things are such that it’s difficult to tell if everyone is after Microsoft or if they are after Google. The one question that I would like to see an answer for is this; If I want to share a document created in Google Docs with someone using Yahoo/Zimbra, can I do it? Much like the social network interoperability issue, all the various web services out there, which don’t talk to each other are going to come and bite us some day. OpenID and other online identity efforts address one small part of the problem, but I believe that unless we figure some of these questions out, and fast, web-based solutions are going to run up into a wall sooner rather than later.
