VoSnap: A startup experiment
By Deepak on Jul 9, 2007 in Entrepreneurship, Startups
Can you create a fully functioning startup in 54 hours? Adam Rubenstein was one of those who got to participate in Startup Weekend, an event that aimed to do just that. What was startup weekend all about? From Adam’s post
The plan here is to create a startup in weekend. How simple… The first step was to collectively decide what the business to be will be…then it was an organic and orderly divide and conquer approach. The business units deployed include(ed), marketing, PR, legal, business development, creative, user experience, front-end development and back-end development.
I would have loved to participate in this event, with a diverse set of creative minds. The result of the event: VoSnap, a social voting tool. Whether VoSnap succeeds or not, it is interesting to see seventy people thrash through a bunch of ideas and come up with a successful outcome. Of course with seventy equity holders the follow up will be interesting as well. The event was organized by people involved with TechStars
